Air Travel info
Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to their preferred airports, where they like to be seated, and which airlines they book with. For these, and many other reasons, I do not get involved in the booking of flights for guests.
It is best for me to provide the destination airport code (example: VCE - Venice-Marco Polo), and the date and time in which we should all be arriving, and allow you to book your flights as you see fit.
PASSPORTS
Please be certain that your passport will not expire within 9-months of your anticipated travel. If so, you will not be allowed to leave the USA (other countries of residence may have similar rules)
TSA PRE-CHECK
Worth its weight in gold- if you don’t have a TSA Pre-Check endorsement already, do yourself a huge favor and get signed up. At many airports the security check lines for those who have Pre-Check are virtually non-existent, at others they are greatly reduced.
GLOBAL ENTRY AND THE TRUSTED TRAVELER NETWORK
The Trusted Traveller Network and Global Entry Program are part of the US Customs and Border Protection. You must make an appointment several months in advance, and the cost is $100. My last trip back to the US after being abroad took less than 5-minutes at Customs, and there was no line to wait in. I highly recommend it.
